"Khan Shatyry", "Indoor-city" and "Borovoye" were presented in the capital
The construction boom is continuing in the capital of Kazakhstan. Thus, last week the presentation of three new projects took place in Astana. These included the trading and entertaining center "Khan Shatyry" ("Khan's tent"). The presentation was carried out by the Turkish company Sembl Insaat.

The presentation about "Khan Shatyry" revealed that this center would include trading and housing residences, a five-star hotel with cinemas, restaurants and cafes, mini underground railways, sites for mini golf, SPA and fitness centers, as well as exotic pools and artificial reservoirs. It is planned to be completed by the end of 2007.

The president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, attending the presentation, declared after the English architect's speech that "many remarkable objects, such as the oceanarium "Duman" and "Baiterek" have been built in Astana in the past few years. And we continue to build such things in order for our new capital to look special and for each building to be original and unique", even though he was initially concerned about bad acoustics of the hall in the Place of Peace and Consent.

  

In the same evening two more plans were presented: a complex "Astana covered city" and a skiing resort in the "Borovoye" recreational area. The "city under the roof" named "Batygai" or "Indoor city", will include ten super skyscrapers, where more than ten thousand people can live. According to the design by the architects, people will be able to enjoy going on a gondola along the "Venetian street", visit schools, hospitals, shops and cafes and restaurants under palm trees and plane trees without having to be outdoors in temperatures like 35C below zero.

The third project is a sports and tourist complex in Borovoye. It is being promised to become the best resort in the whole world. It will include hotels, villas and twelve horse farms which will employ fifty thousand people. "This complex is designed taking into consideration differences of temparatures, in order to have an excellent rest both in the summer and in winter. The question is about magnificent hotels, a congress center, trading and business centers, yachting and mountain skiing," the author of the project "Borovoye Lakes Resorts", Eric Kuhne said.

As the British architect assures, it will be the best resort owing to its beauty and level of service, which and lebel ol service, which Kazakhstan can offer to the world, and where "the president of Kazakhstan will be able to meet leaders from foreign states". At the same time he expressed confidence tha it would be possible to at tract up to ninety-three million tourists annually to Borovove. if the project is planned expertly.

"The idea to develop the Borovoye resort, being close to the capital, emerged a long time age," Nursultan Nazarbayev explained to the participants of the presentation. "We would like it to become a tourist Mecca, and it would be desirable to use this pearl of our country for the convenience of the people. Such goals are being reached now." It should be noted that the creators of the project also considered Borovoye to become the Kazakhstani Las Vegas.

"New casinos in the area of Borovoye resort will be built according to world standards, and the best hotels, restaurants ans SPA centers will render their services, where people will be able to enjoy a very good rest," said Eric Kiuhne. In his opinion Kazakhstan is in the heart of the Euro-Asian continent and Borovoye will become a pearl of this cross road, and successfully compete with the likes of the Alpes, Andes and Rocky Mountains of the USA.
