Almaty, spreading out at the foothills of the Zaili Alatau, is a very beautiful city with extremely picturesque surroundings. Kok-Tobe (Green Top) (1,130 meters), below which stands the city's 350-meter television tower, opens a very beautiful panorama of the city, especially gorgeous is the night view of the city with myriad sparkling lights. Closeness of Almaty to the Kok-Tobe adds special charm to the city, providing the fantastic diversity of beautiful surroundings, routes and landscape, which attracts tourists and lovers of active leisure.

Kok-Tobe Residential Development project site is located on the hills of Mount Kok-Tobe in Almaty, only 0.5 miles from Dastyk Avenue. Dastyk is one of the main arteries of Almaty that connects the city to the airport. The total land area for the project site is 150,000m2. The land will be developed according to a master plan that divides the land into three zones appropriated for residential development.

Currently there are some dwellings on the portions of the project site. FTG Development will purchase the land from the owners of these dwellings and demolish the houses that are mostly two and three story buildings. Meanwhile, a master plan for the land use at the site will be prepared by famous architects that are specialized in master planning. After demolishing the existing dwellings, the site will be leveled and some infrastructure will be brought in by the developer. The land will be developed according to the master plan prepared by the architects. Once the land is developed and ready for building residential units, FTG Development will build residential settlement that consists of 4-5 story buildings and villas.

There will also be a town center with some retail facilities including cafes and restaurants. This town center will give this residential settlement the feel of a small town. It will be the point of attraction during daily lives of the residents. The target market for these residential units is the upper income elite group Kazakh families with children, Kazakh businessman and bureaucrats.

FTG Development will start acquiring the land in April 2007. The land development will last for approximately 18 months. As the land for each zone is ready, the construction for the residential units will commence immediately. The construction of each phase shall last for 15 months. The sales for the residential units will start simultaneously with the start of the construction of each phase.
